Bengaluru: Plans to set up a scientific authority with the aim of resolving various issues will soon be announced, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. He was speaking at the launch of a biography on aerospace scientist and Padma Shri awardee Dr. B. N. Suresh, ‘Onto a Rocket Ship’ on Saturday October 29.
“The authority will assist in working toward solutions not just for current situations, but also for future generations,” he said.
The renowned scientist’s life and accomplishments are detailed in the biography written by Suresh’s son Sunil, starting with his upbringing in the Hosakere village in Chikkamagaluru. “Thanks to organisations like IISc, ISRO, and research and development centres, Bengaluru is unusually rich in research experts. We should utilise this talent to create an organization that looks for impactful answers to day-to-day issues,” he said.
