Bengaluru: The State Government started preparations for the 14th edition of Aero India which will be held in February 2023.
According to Gaurav Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Infrastructure, the dates for this mega global event are yet to be finalised. “However, as a huge number of people turn up for this biennial event, preparations are underway,” he explained.
“Various responsibilities are already divided between various agencies for this event,” he said.
The 13th edition of the show was held in the year 2021. However, keeping in mind the prevailing Covid – 19 situation, it was a subdued celebration.
According to the authorities, the Department recently held a meeting with all the stakeholders including the Indian Airforce on the organising of the event. In this event it was decided to start the first show at 9.30 am and conclude the airshows early in the day to avoid the traffic jams. In the meeting it was also decided to ensure enough parking space, multiple entry and exit points and roads for the smooth flow of the traffic.
