Bengaluru: State holds two inter-state water meetings

Bengaluru:  The State on Tuesday October 18 held two high-level inter-state water meetings. A consensus on how to carry out the Godavari (Inchamplli)-Cauvery (Grand Anicut) link project was reached at the fourth state consultation meeting.

Officials from Karnataka, Telangana, AP, TN, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and MP attended the meeting, which was chaired by Bhopal Singh, Director General of the National Water Development Authority.

The second meeting focused on the construction of a Navale balancing reservoir for the removal of silt from the Tungabhadra dam.
