Bengaluru: For Deepavali – Balipadyami on Wednesday October 26, the Karnataka Muzrai Department has asked that all State-run temples worship cows, so that people don’t forget this practise of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.

The Department stated in a circular that cows should be bathed, brought to temples, decorated with vermilion, turmeric, and flowers, and fed grains, jaggery, bananas, and other sweets before being worshipped with lamps and incense.

According to the Department, this should be done on October 26 between 5.30 and 6.30 pm (Godhooli Lagna).
