Bengaluru: The women’s rights activists in Iran who are fighting for their rights in their country also received support from the City with members of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) (SUCI (C)) staging a protest near Freedom Park.
The protesters raised slogans against the brutal crackdown on the agitators and demanded that their needs be met immediately.
Speaking on the occasion, M. N. Sriram, leader of the organisation said in Iran, “Women need to get justice. People from all walks of life are fighting for their rights in Iran.”
Students, activists and leaders participated in the protest. They held banners and demanded immediate action to stop the brutal action against the activists in Iran.
