Residents of Bengaluru woke up to dry and sunny weather conditions on Tuesday as temperatures across Karnataka continued to rise with the gradual onset of summer.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dry weather is expected to persist across the state in the coming days, with maximum temperatures likely to touch 40°C in several districts.
Temperature crosses 35°C in Bengaluru
Weather data released by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) showed that Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C and a minimum temperature of 20.5°C.
Meteorologists noted that while the city remains relatively moderate compared to northern districts, daytime temperatures are steadily increasing as summer progresses.
In some interior regions of Karnataka, early morning hours may still experience brief cold and foggy conditions.

Northern districts record higher temperatures
Several districts in north Karnataka have already reported significantly higher temperatures.
Kalaburagi recorded one of the highest temperatures at 39.5°C, followed by Raichur and Yadgir at around 38.7°C. Ballari and Bagalkote reported temperatures close to 38.2°C.
In contrast, coastal regions such as Udupi recorded a maximum of about 34.4°C, though humidity levels remained relatively high.
Heatwave days likely this summer
The IMD has warned that Karnataka may experience four to six days of heatwave conditions during the summer season.
According to meteorologists, north interior districts and some coastal areas could experience the strongest heat conditions in the coming weeks.
Weather outlook for Bengaluru
Weather patterns in Bengaluru over the past few days have remained stable with clear skies and warm afternoons.
Cities located on the Deccan plateau, including Bengaluru and Chitradurga, have continued to record relatively cooler morning temperatures compared to the northern parts of the state.
The weather department has predicted that Bengaluru will likely continue to experience dry conditions and sunny skies over the next few days, with temperatures expected to rise slightly during the afternoons.
