Bengaluru: Two additional judges have been appointed to the Karnataka High Court on Saturday January 21.
The addition of Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik and Ramachandra Dattatray Huddar as judges was announced via Twitter by Law Minister Kiren Rijiju.
Additional judges are appointed for a two-year term before being elevated to permanent positions.
As per the website of the Law Ministry, the Karnataka High Court had 13 vacancies as of January 2 despite having a sanctioned strength of 62.
