Bengaluru: Two arrested for stealing over 19 two-wheelers

Bengaluru: The North East Division Police have arrested two habitual offenders who targeted vehicle owners looking to sell their two-wheelers by posting advertisements online.

According to sources, the accused would approach the owners and flee with the vehicles under the guise of a test drive. Two stolen two-wheelers worth around Rs. 15 lakh have been seized from them.
The accused have been identified as Yasin Baig (22) and Imran Khan (24) and both residents of DJ Halli.

The accused were also stealing two-wheelers using an app by not returning them. Two-wheelers belonging to the accused have been reported stolen in the limits of the Rural Police Stations at Yelahanka, Banaswadi, Yeshwanthapur, Mahadevapura, Kothanur, Indiranagar, Govindapura, VV Puram, HSR Layout, and Doddaballapura. 19 two-wheelers have been recovered by the police from the duo.

According to sources, the accused have been remanded in judicial custody.
