Bengaluru: Hanumantanagar police officers arrested two members of the ‘chaddi gang,’ who are responsible for several vehicle thefts and chain-snatching cases in the City.

The arrested accused have been identified as Srinivasa (25) of Vinayak Layout and Sunil Kumar (37) of Pantarapalya, Ambedkar Nagar.

13 two-wheelers, including the vehicle used in the crime and 27 gm of the gold chain were seized from the accused.

The chaddi gang uses a similar technique in the majority of chain-snatching crimes.

The accused, Sunil Kumar, spent eight years in jail till 2016. Later, he escaped from the prison and continued his old ways before being caught by the police.
