Bengaluru: Two persons drowned in the Bay of Bengal here on Monday, while their friend was saved while receiving treatment at a government hospital, according to authorities.
The three were part of an 11-person team from the State, who were visiting as tourists in the Union Territory.
According to the police, a high tide wave caused Prabhu (32) and Joseph (42) to drown in the sea. But the people and police on the beach helped to save Thatchen Gowda.
Police have begun an investigation after recovering the bodies of Joseph and Prabhu.
