Bengaluru: As the Assembly elections heat up, Minister Munirathna is embroiled in a controversy. Congress Leader Kusuma Hanumantharayappa has lodged a complaint alleging that Munirathna had given a call during the election campaign to attack Kannadigas.

In her complaint, Kusuma, the Congress Candidate from Rajarajeswari Nagara, has alleged that Munirathna instigated the attack on Kannadigas while he was addressing Tamil-speaking people at Khathanagar in Rajarajeshwari Nagara.

A video of Munirathna’s speech has gone viral in which he can be heard saying, “If anyone comes in, run around and beat them up, and I will see the rest. They should be beaten in a way that they should not look back. Let’s see who will hit us, tomorrow will be our’s”, he allegedly says in the video.
