Bengaluru Woman Slams Air India for Last-Minute Flight Rescheduling

Bengaluru Woman Slams Air India For Last Minute Flight Rescheduling

A Bengaluru-based travel influencer, Loveleen Arun, recently criticized Air India for rescheduling her Delhi to San Francisco flight from August 18 to August 22 without prior notice. In a post on X on August 12, she expressed her frustration over the airline’s “high-handedness,” revealing that passengers were offered an alternative flight on August 17 via a complex route: Delhi-Mumbai-San Francisco.

Loveleen, along with other passengers, requested a Bengaluru-Mumbai-San Francisco route to avoid a 10-hour layover in Delhi. However, Air India “categorically denied” this request, further aggravating the situation. She took to social media, stating, “First you cancel flights at whim and then don’t try even a slight bit to help your clients. Just no empathy whatsoever!!”

Air India responded by apologizing and requesting booking details to investigate. Yet, Loveleen’s frustration persisted, as she later shared that Air India’s customer service failed to offer a satisfactory solution. “Inept call centre guys from Air India call the clients and say ‘Sorry we cannot change this ticket as seats from Mumbai to SFO are not available,'” she posted, noting that her PNR was changed for the more cumbersome route.

Loveleen’s post, which quickly garnered over 21,000 views, resonated with many social media users, sparking a broader discussion on the challenges and financial burdens of abrupt international flight cancellations.
