A 23-year-old tech worker from Bengaluru has stirred online discussions with her open talk about career moves, financial discipline, and a no-nonsense take on money management during her early twenties.

With just a year’s experience post-graduation, she revealed switching roles multiple times—two internships and two full-time gigs. Yet, she insists it hasn’t hampered her journey. “I even got interview calls from Google and Amazon despite frequent job changes,” she shared, encouraging newbies not to stress about early career hops. “Recruiters understand you’re still exploring.”

Her viral post candidly detailed her expenses: Rs 27,000 rent for a 1BHK flat, Rs 199 on Netflix, Rs 15,000 monthly on food (Rs 10,000 spent eating out), Rs 2,000 for Claude Pro, Rs 499 on water, Rs 700 for electricity, and Rs 10,000 on gifts for her parents. Even after all this, she saves nearly Rs 1 lakh each month.

“I know I could tighten my budget, but I don’t want to live miserably in my twenties just to hoard savings,” she noted. She avoids alcohol, smoking, and partying, preferring to treat her parents and enjoy quality food.

Not from a premier college—similar to VIT—she stressed, “Your institution doesn’t decide your paycheck,” citing examples of peers earning impressive salaries.

Currently, she parks her savings in a recurring deposit but plans to branch out in the future. Her lifestyle includes gymming, picking up new hobbies like swimming, and budget traveling—even during a company-funded trip to Sydney.
