Following heavy rains, commuting in Bengaluru has become grueling, with potholes now common across key roads, even on resurfaced areas by the BBMP. Despite recent maintenance, critical stretches like Hosa Road, Bannerghatta Road, and Outer Ring Road’s service roads remain hazardous. High-density corridors and tech industry hubs on the city’s outskirts have become especially perilous, lacking proper lighting and repair efforts.
BBMP Engineer-in-Chief B S Prahlad announced inspections, while Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath aims to secure Rs 669 crore to resurface 459 km of damaged roads, excluding white-topped areas.
