Bengaluru: The government has delivered great news to devotees of Shri Balaji. Star Air, which previously provided transportation services from Bidar district in Kalyana Karnataka to the capital city Bengaluru, has now expanded its services to include flights to Tirupathi, starting from August 24.
This enhancement provides added convenience for devotees traveling to Tirupathi. Star Air’s flights from Bidar used to operate five times a week, specifically on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The flight departs from Bidar in the evening at 5:30 PM, arriving in Bengaluru at 6:45 PM. From there, it continues its journey at 7:10 PM, reaching Tirupathi by 8:00 PM. The return journey follows a similar schedule, departing Tirupathi at 8:25 PM, arriving in Bengaluru at 9:15 PM.
On the subsequent day, the flight from Bengaluru takes off at 3:00 PM and lands in Bidar at 4:10 PM. On Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, the flight’s departure from Bidar shifts to the evening at 4:50 PM, touching down in Bengaluru at 6:05 PM. The return flight from Bengaluru takes place at 6:30 PM, reaching Tirupathi at 7:20 PM. Subsequently, just 25 minutes later, precisely at 7:45 PM, it sets off from Tirupathi, arriving in Bengaluru at 8:35 PM. This same flight schedule operates on the subsequent day as well.
The demand for flight services to Tirupathi had long been an ongoing request, and today, this demand has been successfully fulfilled. The government’s decision has brought immense joy to the devotees of Shri Balaji. Despite numerous challenges in initiating flight operations from Bidar in Kalyana Karnataka, everything now appears to be on track, as indicated by Bhagwanth Khuba, the Chief Secretary of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
