Bengaluru: A special debate on electoral reforms was held in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday March 30. However, it was adjourned sine die.

Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah expressed his concerns about worsening electoral system in the nation since 1970s. However, Chief Minister as part of the debate said, “India’s democratic system has been strong and thus there has been smooth transfer of power after every election.”

Stating that there still hope about the current electoral system in comparison to past, Bommai exuded confidence on youngsters and technological changes. “Most of the voters do observe and act according to their will,” he said and trying to make people corrupt due to allurement is a sin.
