Bengaluru: According to sources, Bengaluru City University (BCU) has been asked by the National Student Union of India (NSUI) to postpone semester exams by a month.
The student wing of the Congress party asked that the exams planned to begin on March 14 be postponed in a representation to the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar.
Owing to the delay in the beginning of physical classes and the protest by guest faculty, the Higher Education Department has directed universities to postpone semester examinations by at least a month, said NSUI Karnataka President Kirthi Ganesh, who accused the BCU of failing to follow the directive.
