Bengaluru: The Congress State unit will hold a protest against the controversial Agnipath scheme of the Central Government on Monday June 27 across the State.
A decision in this regard was taken by the party-state Unit President D. K. Shivakumar.
As per the plan, the protests will be carried out in all the 224 Assembly constituencies.
Processions, stage speech, and pamphlet distribution are planned for these programmes.
“Let the government increase the cess on the public to pay for the retirement benefits of the soldiers. But we will not allow any to hire and fire policy in the armed forces,” said Shivakumar.
