Chikkaballapura: Cash and goods worth more than Rs. 6 Crore have been seized from the day the model Code of Conduct was implemented after the announcement of Assembly elections in the state till the end of the polling process in the District.
Cash worth Rs. 57 Lakh was seized in five constituencies of the District, of which Rs. 90.9500 was seized in Gauribidanur, Rs. 8,32,000 in Bagepalli, Rs. 1,225,850 in Chikkaballapura, Rs. 290,900 lakh in Shidlaghatta constituency and Rs 1,89,900 lakh in Chintamani constituency. A total of 86,816.14 litres of illicit liquor was seized across the District with a total value of Rs 2.45 lakh.
In a joint operation, the excise and police seized 676.73 litres of illicit liquor in Gauribidanur, 999.02 litres in Bagepalli, 8,2371 litres in Chikkaballapura, 898.9 litres in Shidlaghatta and 1,968.35 litres in Chintamani.
A total of 8.32 kg of the drug was seized by the police during the elections and a total of Rs 5.19 lakh was seized. Valuable drugs have been seized.
When it comes to gold and silver, the total weight is 5.64 kgs. The total value of the seizure is Rs 2.67 Crore. Valuables (pans, sarees, cookers, mixies and other items) worth Rs. 3.80 Crore were seized across the District.
