Incidents involving underage children riding two-wheelers in traffic have triggered widespread concern after disturbing visuals surfaced online, prompting calls for strict enforcement of road safety rules.

In one viral clip, a child believed to be under 10 years old was seen riding a scooter in heavy traffic while standing on the footboard and struggling to control the vehicle.

Social media users strongly criticised the incident, calling it dangerous and irresponsible.

Bengaluru case shocks commuters

In a separate case from Bengaluru, photographs showing six young children riding on a single scooter were widely shared online.

The images reportedly showed a young boy driving the vehicle while five other children sat behind him in an overcrowded and unsafe manner.

None of the children appeared to be wearing helmets.

Incident location shared online

According to the user who posted the images, the incident took place on April 26 at around 10.45 am on Padarayanapura Main Road near Goripalya.

The social media post also shared the scooter registration number and tagged police authorities.

Calls for action

The user urged Bengaluru City Police and Bengaluru Traffic Police to take action against the parents or guardians responsible.

Many online users said the issue reflects poor supervision and growing disregard for traffic rules.

Serious road safety risk

Experts often warn that minors riding vehicles without licences or helmets pose severe risks not only to themselves but to pedestrians and other road users.

Overloading scooters further increases chances of losing balance and serious injury.

Need for awareness and enforcement

The incidents have reignited debate over parental responsibility, civic awareness and the need for stricter checks to prevent minors from operating vehicles on public roads.
