Chitradurga: Anti-Conversion Act contains provisions to prevent love jihad, said Home Minister Araga Jnanendra and added that hence there was no need for a separate law.

Speaking to mediapersons here, he said that there was no need to enact a separate law and form a special task force in the State to prevent love jihad, referring to some Sangh Parivar outfits demanding a new law to curb love jihad.

“This is contained in the anti-conversion law in force in the State. Thus, there is no need for a separate law or task force. However, we will look into the matter,” he said.
