Bengaluru’s Church Street is set for a major facelift under the BBMP’s “Namma Bengaluru, Namma Koduge” initiative in collaboration with Unboxing BLR Foundation. The two-year project will focus on upgrading roads, footpaths, lighting, drainage, and waste management, while adding ornamental greenery to enhance the area’s appeal.
The revitalization aims to improve safety, cleanliness, and accessibility, alongside fostering street culture with events like the “Hubba in Your Street” festival scheduled from November 30 to December 15. The project is part of broader plans to revamp Richmond Road and Vittal Mallya Road.
Tushar Girinath, BBMP Commissioner, emphasized the role of public-private partnerships in urban development, while Prashanth Prakash, Chairman of Unboxing BLR, highlighted the vision of creating a lively and modern space.
