Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta has informed that a decision on closure of schools will be made in a day or two after meeting with officials and experts.
According to sources, municipal authorities said they have been closely monitoring the situation after the State Government directed the BBMP Chief Commissioner to make an appropriate decision on school closures.
Gupta assured that the issue was under control and that the BBMP has been prepared to handle the surge, pointing out that the civic body is actively monitoring the daily Covid caseload, positive rate, and hospitalisation.
According to him, authorities would make more restrictions based on the positive rate and caseload in the next days.
