Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has become extra cautious on accepting gifts after the Hublot gift watch controversy.
It was very evident on Tuesday when Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation presented a cheque of Rs 22 crore to pay back the state government’s capital share in the corporation at a function. Animal Husbandry Minister A Manju presented the cheque and also a gift to Siddaramaiah.
The CM immediately returned the gift back to minister Manju as he apparently recalled the controversy of the Hublot watch gifted to him by a friend.
