CM to hold special meet to resolve problems of Kodagu district

Bengaluru: “A special high-level meeting will soon be held to discuss the demands made by the United Kodava Organisation (UKO)”, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the conclusion of their 17-day Jabhoomi Baalo-2015 padayatra, recently.

After listening to the problems that are haunting Kodagu district, the CM assured the members that he would look into the matters at the earliest. He said that measures would be initiated for conserving the natural environs of Kodagu district and for maintaining the purity of Cauvery water.

Former MLC Cheppudira Arun Machaiah, former MLA H.D. Basavaraj, Kodagu District Congress President Biddatanda T. Pradeep, Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Chairperson Shantheyanda Veena Achaiah, Bengaluru Kodava Samaja President Mandeda Ravi Uthappa, Vice-President Mukkatira Vani Nanaiah and others were present.
