Bengaluru: The Congress on Thursday April 7 lashed out at Al-Qaeda for interfering in the Hijab issue in Karnataka. Charging the BJP and right wing group of polarising, the Congress said that the party is trying corrupt the atmosphere in the State in the background of 2023 Assembly polls.

Further, the party said that Al-Qaeda has no right to comment on internal affairs of the country. Congress condemned the Al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri’s for praising college student Muskan Khan for defending the Hijab with the chant, Allahu Akbar.

“Let me make it clear that we condemn the statement of Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda is a terrorist organisation, and a banned one which has no business to comment anything about the internal affairs our country. Congress party condemns it,” said Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken.
