Bengaluru: Prakash Rathod, member of the Congress in the Legislative Council in Karnataka, was caught browsing obscene content while participating in the ongoing seven-day legislative session, here on Friday.
After a video of the incident has gone viral on social media, the Congress leader issued a statement, reports Asianet News.
According to the report, Rathod, who is also a spokesperson of the Karnataka Congress unit, said that the truth is far from what is being alleged. “I was not watching any video. I had question number 7 during the Question Hour and I was trying to look at a message.”
He added that he was merely trying to delete some messages from his phone as the storage was full. “Some TV channels that were behind me recorded my phone and are claiming that I was watching objectionable content,” he added.
