Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, an unidentified man posing as a doctor, who managed to enter the special ward of a KC General Hospital, injected a patient with a water-filled syringe and fled with her 35gm gold chain. Malleshwaram police station is situated at the entrance of KC General Hospital.
The incident took place at KC General Hospital in Malleswaram at 3.30 pm on November 25. The victim, who was identified as Padmavatamma Jayanna alias Padmavati from Nelamangala, told police that the miscreant left the syringe in her neck before making away with the gold chain. She told the police that her husband went to a doctor to show the X-Ray report.
According to police, the homemaker had fractured her leg after slipping in the bathroom at her residence two days before the incident. After being treated by a local doctor in Nelamangala, Padmavatamma was shifted to KC General Hospital as she was advised to undergo a minor operation.
