Covid-19: 7 passengers test positive at B’luru airport

Bengaluru: Seven passengers who travelled to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on Friday December 17 has been tested positive for Covid – 19, a day after five passengers tested positive for the Omicron variant in the State.

According to Health Department authorities, six of them had returned from Dubai and one from London.

All seven were isolated and admitted to Lady Curzon and Bowring Hospital for treatment. According to sources, their samples have been sent for genome sequencing as per protocol, and a report is awaited.

Three passengers from the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and South Africa, as well as two from Delhi, were found to be infected with Omicron on Thursday.
