Covid-19 clusters climb to 18 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Covid – 19 clusters have climbed to 18 in Bengaluru, with 12 reported from Mahadevapura zone and two from Yelahanka zone.

The remaining clusters in both zones, with the exception of two schools in Dasarahalli, are found in apartments and villas. While 11 clusters in Mahadevapura had less than five cases, one in a Mahadevapura apartment complex and one in a Dasarahalli school each contain five to 14 cases.

The number of cases reported from across Karnataka was 634 on Friday June 17, down from 833 the day before. The number of deaths was two. The city’s day positivity rate climbed to 4.3 per cent on Thursday, with 791 cases, the highest in last 21 days. On May 31, the lowest positive rate in the last 21 days was 1.1 per cent, with only 158 cases.
