Davanagere: Davanagere South MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa has said that if the Congress comes to power in the State, the existing National Pension Scheme will be scrapped and the existing fixed pension scheme will be implemented.

Karnataka State Government NPS Employees’ Association has launched a vote for OPS. Accepting the request when he arrived at the MLA’s house on evening of Friday December 9 as part of the campaign, he said that the National Pension Scheme has been implemented for those joined as government employees from April 1, 2006. It is an unscientific scheme and the employees will lose their retirement life due to OPS, he said.

He demanded that the anti-government employee scheme should be scrapped.
