Davanagere: Police has registered a murder case in connection with the death of Chandrashekar, the nephew of MLA M. P. Renukacharya.

Honnali Police registered a case on complaint by Chandrashekar’s father, M. P. Ramesh alleging that his son was murdered. In the complaint, Ramesh further alleged that there were injury marks on the body and it looked like Chandrashekar’s hands and legs were tied.

The police has registered the case under sections 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees).

It can be recalled here that the 24-year-old son of M. P. Renukacharya’s brother went missing on Sunday October 30. On Thursday October 3, his body was found in decomposed state inside a car in a canal near Honnali.
