Davanagere: Villagers at Basavanahalli in Nyamathi Taluk of the District on Saturday December 24 staged a protest with sheep in front of the dais of the DC Nade Halli Kade programme attended by, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister and Honnali MLA M.P. Renukacharya, alleging that the Government grazing land had been acquired in the name of BJP workers.
Angry villagers alleged that MLA Renukacharya had given the Government grazing land in survey numbers 25 and 29 of Basavanahalli Village to the BJP to save it and now it is accounted in his name.
The protest was called off following an assurance that the issue would be resolved.
