Bengaluru: Displaying Identity Cards with name and designation has been made compulsory to all the government employees in the office premises according to a recent order.

An order in this regard was issued by DPAR on Wednesday evening.

The order also made placing of name-placards mandatory on all the tables.

According to the order, this rule applies to all the government offices, semi-government offices, the boards, and corporations.

“The order had been issued to bring in transparency in the administration. The move will also help the general public know the contact persons in the government offices and their designations,” explained the order.

“This system is already followed in the banks and the post offices. It will streamline the system,” further added the order.
