Bengaluru: The district administration has finally taken over 14 houses and nine sites including the residence of Challenging Star Darshan at Rajarajeshari Nagar.
Bengaluru Urban deputy commissioner V Shankar on Saturday seized ‘Thoogudeepa’, residence of the actor, which is said to have been constructed on government land.
It may be recalled that on Wednesday the Deputy Commissioner had said that the proper of the actor and former minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa would be taken over soon.
“We have issued eviction orders to 69 persons, including Darshan and Shamanur, whose properties sit on B Kharab land belonging to the government. The deadline for eviction is October 22. Instead of demolishing them, we will convert these spaces into government offices,” the DC had said and acting on these lines, on Saturday several houses and properties were seized.
While Shamanur’s SS Hospital has encroached upon 22 guntas, Darshan’s house has encroached upon 2 guntas.
