Bengaluru: Minister for Power D K Shivakumar is in news again after the CM said that the recent IT raids on residence and office of DKShi was orchestrated by the BJP only to bring DKShi into BJP fold.
However, commenting on the same, DH Shivakumar, while speaking to a television channel said that he would, at this point of time stay away from commenting on the same.
“This is not the time to talk about the issue. When the right time comes, I will speak not just about this issue, but also about several other topics connected to the same,” said the Minister who recalled his journey in Congress party from a student wing leader to Ministerial berth.
“I was a student leader when senior Congressmen like Veerappa Moily, Chandrashekar Murthy and also Rajeev Gandhi called upon me to contest poll against political heavyweight like H D Devegowda. Thereafter, I may have had contested as independent candidate several times. But, at this point of time, I would not want to comment on any issue. I shall wait for the right time to come,” he said leaving everyone guess the real meaning of the statement.
The Minister had recently hit headline after the IT sleuths reportedly unearthed cache of unaccounted wealth from his residence and office. While no official statement on the amount unearthed has been out, the Congress had billed off the IT raid as politics of vengeance because it was DK Shivakumar who provided shelter to Gujarat MLAs during the recent Rajya Sabha polls.
