Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Saturday March 26 that a drinking water project for 120 villages in Shiggaon and Savanur has been approved.
He said that the project will provide a long-term solution to the area’s drinking water problem.
CM Bommai was speaking after launching the ‘Revenue Documents at Your Doorstep’ programme in Timmapur village, Haveri District’s Shiggaon Taluk.
“Various development programmes have been drawn up, including laying of road and plans to build classrooms, community centres, and concrete canals,” said Bommai. He also mentioned that a sericulture market, an industrial township, highways, and other initiatives for the Haveri district’s economic development have been approved.
