Two allegedly drunk youths assaulted an autorickshaw driver in Bengaluru after a verbal argument escalated into violence, according to police sources.
The incident reportedly took place on a busy city road, where the youths, said to be under the influence of alcohol, got into an altercation with the auto driver over a minor issue. Eyewitnesses said the argument quickly turned aggressive, with the accused allegedly attacking the driver in public view.
Videos and images related to the incident have circulated widely on social media, drawing criticism over increasing incidents of road rage and assaults in Bengaluru.
Passers-by and local residents reportedly intervened to stop the attack and calm the situation before police arrived at the scene. The auto driver sustained minor injuries during the assault.
