E-governance introduced in Ambedkar Development Corporation

Bengaluru: Dr. B R Ambedkar Development Corporation has implemented “e-governance” to provide governance at the tip of the finger and progress report within minutes.

To avoid beneficiaries roaming to offices and banks to get loans, subsidies and other facilities, the problem of the commission, an e-service called “Sarala Spandana” has been started. This helps to pass mobile messages to the beneficiaries from time-to-time and money would be credited directly to the account through “Mahiti Kalyana” app.

According to Minister for Social Welfare H Anjaneya, the new facility would help in providing the loan, subsidy and other facilities to around 1.68 lakh beneficiaries in the state.

Under self-employment, facilities worth Rs 733.24 Crores have been provided for 83,474 SC beneficiaries. Under the land ownership project, 5,544.27 acres of land has been distributed to 4125 farmers. Under Ganga Kalyana project, 35,272 borewells were drilled and 26,949 pumps were fixed. Electricity has been provided to 31,204 borewells.

E-service system has been distributed towards loan, subsidy, Ganga Kalyana, drilling borewells and all other projects. This will not only help in providing the service in minimum time but also helps to know the stages of processing of applications etc.

Through the Dr. Ambedkar Development Corporation, for the development of scheduled castes, the government has earmarked Rs.2,643.90 Crore in the budget and loan was provided to 3,34,709 beneficiaries. By the end of November 2017, facilities worth Rs 2185.85 Crore have been provided to 1,98,281 beneficiaries.
