Bengaluru: Environmentalist Salumarada Thimmakka has been hospitalised for the past three days after she complained of breathing problems.
She has been undergoing treatment at Apollo hospital in Bengaluru.
Her son Umesh said that Timmakka had stopped consuming food for a few days as she was breathless and was running a temperature. “We shifted her to the hospital after her condition worsened,” he said.
Umesh lamented that although many people had offered to pay the medical expenses, none had come forward in thier hour of need. “We have been forced to mortgage her medals to pay the bills,” he addded.
