Bengaluru : A female Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) has provided an explanation in response to a notice issued regarding allegations of dereliction of duty in the Renukswamy murder case. The notice was issued in connection with allowing the prime accused, Pavitragowda, to apply makeup.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the Western Division had issued a notice to a female PSI who was assigned to bring the accused from the crime scene and the women’s counseling center to the Annapoorneshwarinagar police station. According to police sources, the PSI has responded that she was unaware of Pavitragowda having a makeup box.

It has been reported that another female officer who was on duty with the accused that day was also issued a notice. The case has drawn attention due to the alleged lapses in handling the accused during the investigation process.

The Renukswamy murder case has been a topic of significant interest in Bengaluru, with authorities closely scrutinizing the actions of law enforcement personnel involved in the investigation.
