Bengaluru: Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, who is embroiled in one controversy or the other has now targeted IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil for latter’s comment on bursting firecrackers during Diwali.

It may be recalled that the IPS officer, in her recent tweet said that bursting crackers is not ‘Indian culture’ at all and also said that no Hindu scriptures have any mention about celebrating Hindu festivals by bursting crackers.

“There is nothing Hindu about crackers,” the senior officer had tweeted.

However, this tweet made way for mixed response and popular Twitter handle ‘True Indology’ raised objection. The Twitter war between Roopa and True Indology subsequently led to Twitter suspending the True Indology handle.

Responding to the entire episode, Ranaut has now demanded suspension of the IPS officer and opined that officials like her were ‘shame in the name of police force.’

“She should be suspended, such cops are a shame in the name of police force #ShameOnYouIPSRoopa we can’t let her get her evil ways #BringBackTrueIndology,” Ranaut said in her tweet. “Side effects of reservations, when unworthy and undeserving gets the power they don’t heal they only hurt, I don’t know anything about her personal life but I guarantee that her frustration is stemming out of her incompetence,” Ranaut tweeted supporting True Indology, demanding to bring nack the suspended handle.

“Government appoints people like @D_Roopa_IPS to protect fundamental rights of commoners, but look at her obnoxious ignorance like a sore looser she became so vengeful that if she couldn’t win the arguments with facts she simply got @TIinExile eliminated.Shame on you @D_Roopa_IPS,” Ranaut added.

“@jack @Twitter @TwitterIndia your bias and Islamist’s propaganda is embarrassing, why did you suspend @TIinExile ? Because he busted fake narratives of our history? Shame on you, waiting for the day when you will be banned in India, hope @PMOIndia takes action against twitter,” she tweeted.
