Bengaluru: Over 9,207 potholes have been identified in the city through the fix my street app which was mapped with the Sahaya app of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The pothole filling works are now taken up on a war footing.
According to the authorities, the BBMP is sharing real-time data and information about potholes with the concerned contractors who will fill these potholes immediately.
The highest number of potholes was found in the BBMP south zone with 2,066 potholes. Mahadevapura ward has the lowest number of potholes with just 729 potholes.
According to the authorities, following heavy rainfall in the city, the pothole problem was reported in most of the areas. Many fear that rain may delay the pothole fixing exercise also.
