G Parameshwar to kick-start ‘yathra’ of 100 constituencies today

Bengaluru: The supposed ‘cold war’ between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC Chief G Parameshwar is gradually coming out in the open. Depicted as a counter to the ‘Sadhana-Sambhrama Yathra’ of the Chief Minister, G Parameshwar is set to start his yatra of 100 constituencies under the aegis of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) from today.

The yatra would begin after a worship at Lord Kurudumale Ganesha temple at Mulabagilu of Kolara district and tour Mulabagilu, KGF, Kolar and Maloor Assembly constituencies on Dec 21 and 22.

Later, on Dec 29 and 30, the yatra will be organized at Devanahalli, Nelamangala, Doddaballapura, Chikkaballapura, Gowribidanuru, and Hosakote constituencies. Public rallies will be organized in each constituency to highlight the government projects and the party is planning to give answers to the allegations of the opposition politically, said KPCC sources.

In the second phase, on January 4 and 5, the yatra would pass through Bengaluru rural and Tumakur Lokasabha constituencies. AICC In-Charge Venugopal, Lokasabha opposition leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, senior leaders including Oscar Fernandes, B K Hariprasad, K H Muniyappa, KPCC Working President Dinesh Gundurao, S R Patil, Publicity committee President D K Shivakumar will be present.
