Bengaluru: The government is contemplating on introducing examination rules and a dress code similar to those used in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the upcoming Graduate Primary School Teachers’ Recruitment (GPSTR-2022) exams. This move comes in the backdrop of anamolies held in the recent recruitment exams conducted by the State Government such as PSI recruitment exams and Karnataka Examination Authority.

For the NEET exams, the National Testing Authority (NTA) has prescribed strict rules for both boys and girls such as prohibition of long sleeves, and low heels for girls among others.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister B. C. Nagesh has had a discussion with the Education Department officials in this regard on Thursday May 5.

Through GPSTR-2022 to be held on May 21 and May 22, the State Government plans to fill the 15,000 vacant posts for teachers in Class Vi to Class VIII.
