Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar on Saturday April 30 said that the State Government will take care of the cost of medical of a 24-year old woman who was attacked by her spurned lover with acid. He also stressed that the culprit would be punished.
The Minister visited the victim at the ICU of St. John’s Hospital here. He said, “This is an inhuman incident which is shameful for a civilised society. The culprits must be punished quickly by transferring case to fast-track court. Only then, such heinous acts can be stopped, he observed.
It can be recalled here that on Thursday April 28, Nagesh (27) threw acid on the woman. Police have registered a case against him.
