Bengaluru: A special court here on Wednesday May 25 granted exemption from personal appearance to Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa in an alleged graft case.
BSY’s counsel submitted a medical certificate saying that he was advised bed rest for 10 days by doctors from Sagar Hospital. The special court thus exempted his appearance on medical grounds and adjourned the case to June 17. Yediyurappa has been asked to appear in person on the next date of hearing.
It can be recalled here that a private complaint in 2013 was filed by one Vasudeva Reddy, who alleged that Yediyurappa who was Deputy Chief Minister in 2006 had illegally denotified several pieces of land in City’s Whitefield and Electronics City.
