Bengaluru: The doors of the Hasanamba temple in Hassan will be opened today, November 1, however, the devotees can have a darshan of the deity from Friday, November 2.
The temple is opened only once a year for seven days.
Hasanamba is considered as the village deity of the Hassan city. Lakhs of devotees from across South India visit the temple to take have darshan of the goddess.
According to the authorities, the temple door will be opened on Thursday. After offering special pujas to the deity, the doors will be closed again. The devotees will be allowed to take darshan of the deity from Friday onwards.
Keeping in mind the huge number of devotees arriving from across South India, the district administration decided to keep the temple open round the clock.
November 8 is the last day of darshan. The temple door will be closed on November 9 after a special puja to the deity.
