Bengaluru: JDS supremo and Former prime minister H D Devegowda rejected his grandson, Prajwal Revanna’s resignation as MP of the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency. He advised Prajwal not to make hasty decisions in this regard when they met at his residence late on Friday night.

On Friday, Prajwal arrived at HDD’s residence in Padmanabhanagar to seek his blessings. At that time, the latter told him not to make statements such as that of his resignation for his grandfather etc. “He also told Prajwal to continue as the MP of Hassan and stated that victories and defeats are part of one’s political life. He also assured his grandson that he is not upset by his defeat in the Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency,” said JDS sources.

According to the sources, Prajwal decided not to participate in any victory rallies across the Hassan constituency as he is pained by his grandfather’s defeat. The JDS’ Hassan district unit also decided against any events to mark Prajwal’s victory.
