Bengaluru: The Cubbon Park Walkers’ Association has sought police help to demolish a hotel building coming up in the vicinity of the Cubbon Park of the city. They alleged that PWD minister HD Revanna is behind this issue.
According to the association members, the PWD department has issued permission for the construction of a hotel building in the park area even though rules prohibit any construction works in the park area.
According to Sayidatta, a member of the association, he has approached the city police seeking action against such illegal construction. “After HD Revanna assumed charge as the PWD minister, the department is giving permission for the construction works in the park area, which is illegal. Police need to take action,” he urged.
PWD minister HD Revanna was not available for his reaction.
